CS offers a range of expansion joint covers which have been designed to meet the demanding movement conditions found in parking structures. From simple compression seals to highly engineered metal covers, there is a solution to suit any indoor or outdoor parking situation.
Parking Seals
Traditional winged seals with elastomeric concrete fail regularly. In typical applications wheeled impact causes hairline cracks in the elastomeric concrete. Through further wheeled impact, cracking becomes more severe until the seal’s wing pulls away.
Our solution to this problem is the Zip Block (ZB) series, a one-piece EPDM system. The shoulder of the Zip Block is substantial enough to withstand wheeled impact (even show ploughs) regardless of the condition of the slab edge below. Easily installed, the ZB’s epoxy bond holds up under constant deflection and temperature extremes.
Zip Block series – one piece EPDM elastomeric seals with integral nosing, which is bonded to the substrate with high strength epoxy adhesive. ZB is sealed on each side with a urethane sealant, resulting in an extremely durable and watertight joint system. This system can be installed over green concrete and is suitable for retro-fit applications.
Joint width – up to 100mm Horizontal movement up to +/- 40mm

HB series – is a simple to install compression seal featuring a serrated edge design improving adhesion of the seal to the joint walls, creating a watertight system.

PDA series – is a watertight recess mounted cover featuring a continuous Santoprene membrane seal element and an aluminium or stainless steel (PDS) capping over and aluminium floor frame assembly. The PDA series also features PVC wing seals which can be used to tie the system into slab waterproofing systems. Available in four frame depths to suit project requirements.

Metal Joint Covers
Over time traditional metal covers loosen, clang and break away. Constant impact of cars and deflection of the concrete slab quickly loosens and destroys traditional metal covers since all the force from the impact is transferred to the centre bolt.
Our solution is to transfer the force away from the bolt with out KB expansion joint cover, which features a unique plate design and stronger cast turn bars. Our KB metal covers protect the centre of the bolt from shear forces. The impact of the moving vehicle on the plate is transferred away from the bolt on to the adjacent slab.
KB series – suitable for larger joint sizes, this metal cover features a unique turn bar housing, which reduces lateral load damage. Special design of the centre plate offers maximum strength yet minimal interference with pedestrians.
Joint width – up to 200mm Horizontal movement up to +/- 50mm

PTC series – designed to handle significant deflection of adjacent floor slabs, the system also features a rotation damper which keeps the cover plate from rattling under dynamic traffic loads.
