CS RS-5605 Performance Louvre Wins AIRAH Product of the Year 2023

The AIRAH Awards are an industry event filled with over 250 members of Australia’s HVAC&R community, recognising the outstanding achievements and commitments of individuals and companies within the sector. By recognising achievements in innovation, sustainability and excellence in the HVAC&R design, engineering and implementation process, AIRAH encourages practices for a more sustainable environment.

Construction Specialties were proudly awarded AIRAH Product of the Year 2023 for our RS-5605 high performance louvre. This award recognises excellence in product manufacturing, taking into account innovation, energy efficiency, sustainability, originality and industry need.

The RS-5605 high performance louvre is a 131mm deep, vertically bladed aluminium performance louvre that is designed to protect buildings against wind-driven rain. In fact, our louvres are trusted by some of Australia’s largest cloud computing companies for use on Tier 4 data centres.

The RS-5605 is tested in accordance with AS/NZS standard, and also has Air Movement and Control Association Certification (AMCA), with Construction Specialties being the only Australian louvre manufacturer to hold this certification. The certification guarantees resistance to winds as high as 80 kmph that drive 203mm of water per hour, with the RS-5605 receiving a class A (99%) effectiveness rating.
