How to remove an Acrovyn Crash Rail Cover

So today I’ll be demonstrating how to remove the Acrovyn cover for your crash rail using a tool that you probably already have on site.

So today, I will be using a siding tool. Again, you probably already have it on site, but it can be picked up at any local hardware store.

So we will go ahead and begin, uh, the removal of this cover. Listen, we know that you know that this is pretty difficult to remove. Um, so we’re gonna go into it, we’re gonna be safe with our siding tool, just to make sure that we’re not hitting our hands. Um, so we’ll give it a go.

So what you wanna do is you’re going to take your hand, you’re going to press all of your fingers at the top, then take your thumb and then press in and down right below that bumper sling, where that bumper’s going to be on the cover. We’re gonna take our siding tool and get underneath that lip so that we can disengage that cover.

Come on, you.

Now that we’ve got it disengaged, we’re just gonna slide along the bottom, and we pop it off. We’ve got our cover off. Um, and then once we want to put our cover back on, all you have to do is simply align it at the top, and then press down so it snaps back into place. Sometimes snapping it back into place can be a bit difficult, too.

And we’re gonna snap along the bottom.

And we’ve got our cover disengaged and put back on. And that’s it for another Tips and Tricks.
