Our vision, “Creating products that make buildings better” is one that we take very seriously. We make products that help form life spaces in which people work, learn and receive healthcare. The makeup of the products, the process by which they are made, and our behaviours are all led by our vision.
Founded in the United States, CS has been a global manufacturer and supplier of a range of specialist building products for over 70 years. Operating through 25 offices worldwide, with key manufacturing locations or sales offices in most European countries, we employ over 2,000 people.
With 40+ registered product patents, our product ranges include wall protection systems, entrance matting systems, specialist coatings for walls and floors, expansion joint covers, solar shading, louvres, cubicle curtain track and pressure relief systems. These have been successfully installed in many of the world’s most prestigious buildings, across a spectrum of business sectors including healthcare, transport, retail, education, leisure and commercial offices.
CS has been operating in Australia for over 30 years and our products have been chosen to feature on hundreds of major construction works across the country including the National Art Gallery, the Australian National University, the Sydney Domestic Terminal, the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, the Victorian Desalination Plant and the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
Quality at CS – Quality excellence is something every company strives for, almost all assert, but few can substantiate their claims to customers and prospective clients. Here at Construction Specialties Australia, our commitment to superior management systems is paramount. We achieved recognition of our international quality standard in 1997 and have been quality evangelists ever since.
ISO 9001 is the benchmark measure of a company’s quality management systems, with more than 1 million companies worldwide holding accreditation. We are proud to have been certified to the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard.
Whilst many companies possess ISO 9001:2015 certification, the main point of difference is how they adopt and implement quality principles within their businesses to meet the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard.
Our quality management standards are based on our core commitment to:
- Our customers: every client and project is different. We genuinely want to work with our customers in the most efficient way and deliver the right products on time, every time
- Quality products: as market leaders in the supply of specialty architectural building products we are committed to working with our clients to provide unique solutions to complex building problems and supply products of the highest quality standards
- Our people: having the right business tools in the hands of the right people can make dealing with us a much more pleasant experience. Our reputation for customer service excellence is unparalleled and envied by our competitors
- Operational excellence: as we continue to supply and develop high performance building products Australia wide, we are working hard to implement internal business systems that make doing business with us easier.
From people and processes through to our products, our continual improvement systems and practices adopted to meet ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards ultimately carries with it our guarantee to make buildings function more efficiently, look better and last longer.
OUR RECONCILIATION ACTION PLAN
Construction Specialities Australia is proud to have received formal endorsement from Reconciliation Australia on our first Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in October 2024.
Our RAP marks the first step in driving meaningful cultural change within our business, as well as for our project partners and communities we engage with. It represents a significant milestone for our organisation.
We are now bringing our RAP to life through practical actions that will deepen our contribution to reconciliation, foster respectful relationships, and create meaningful opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
About the Artist
Dakota Dixon-Campbell is a proud Dharawal- Dunghutti-Yuin woman, hailing from Lennox Head on Bundjalung land, and now living and working on Gadigal land, Sydney.
Dakota combines traditional Aboriginal dot painting with contemporary techniques, using acrylics, mixed media, and digital manipulation. Her work reflects a blend of traditional stories and modern interpretations, often incorporating plants and animals.
Dakota continues the La Perouse women’s shell art tradition, teaching it through community workshops.
Connection Through the Waterways
This artwork reflects the connection between Cooks River and Coxs Creek, symbolising Construction Specialties’ global network linked by waterways.
The eucalyptus leaves represent traditional bush medicine, mirroring CS’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. The stone axe signifies Indigenous sustainable construction methods, aligning with CS’s focus on durable, eco-friendly solutions. The yarning circle symbolises collaboration and communication, embodying the teamwork and partnerships that drive success across CS’s projects and teams.
